Our Lady of Guadalupe scarf - given to Anna Maria Dec. 18, 2014

So beautiful!

Altered 'The God Mother's Almanac' (cover only)

My friend Kristina is Simon Michael Kapaun G's.... God Mother!
How exciting!!!

If I could choose a God Mother....I'd choose Kristina in a heart beat. She is an amazing person with deep faith.

After consulting with friends and receiving a big 'YES' for an  idea...I gifted Kristina with a copy of one of the most amazing books I've ever read and referred to over and over and over when my children were young-ins. My sister Mary gave me a copy and it definitely had some wear on it, if you know what I mean. As you can see...the cover of the book is personalized just for Kristina.

One of the alts made to the altered cover (different that photo)...I moved the cross charm to the baby and oh yes, I tried to darken Kristina's pretty hair.  Simon even has an older brother. The book has a few surprises and some colorful envelopes attached inside to keep little things for memories. Also a few children birthday cards....she may wish to use along the way....

The book cover states-
The Most Complete Book ever written on loving and living with small children...everything from discipline and independence to cooking, crafts,
and other adventures.

Kristina can learn more and more about little Simon in his growing up as a child. What I loved best are all the  fascinating ideas of spending time together whether making home made play dough, reading a story or taking a walk to discover and learn about trees and flowers. Kristina will show and tell about God who will be in the center of it all.

God is so good. All the time.

The love story of Sr. Rebecca and Jesus continues to grow...

The celebration reception table was full of cards and the most beautiful gifts. We know that the 'true gifts' are Sister Rebecca CsJP and her loving 'community' who 'are wrapped up serving God'. They share their gifts being the hands, feet and JOY in the world. Jesus, Others then Yourself.

Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 ~ Family fun and celebration

Randy and Helen out in the court yard. A very beautiful cool morning.
After celebrating Mass with Fr. Stuart Smeltzer, we strolled around the lovely Via Christi complex enjoying the springtime decorations of the residents. The Chapel was very beautiful! Randy had just enough prints of 'Jesus of Nazareth' to share.

Grandpa pa filled eggs for a 'surprise' when the little ladies returned home.
We had fun hiding the eggs in their front yard before heading to Mass.

'Palm curls are very easy to make'. Dampen palms and place in zip lock bag over night. Next, Tape end onto a pencil, cane or broom and wind gently and tightly down taping the end. Let dry over night and 'tada!'

An Easter Sunday son's kiss.

Glittering all sorts of art is something I really enjoy. It's the sparkle that I'm after for sure. Tooth picks and very small paint brushes are handy.
Happy Easter Tide to you and yours!
Palm roses are a bit challenging however when you get going it's hard to stop.
I'll provide a web site link on 'how to' very soon.

We pray you have a wonderful blessed Easter!
